Collision in La Laguna: three injured, two freed from vehicle

On Tuesday at approximately 13:05, a collision occurred between two cars on Avenida República de Argentina in La Laguna. Three people were injured. Firefighters rescued two individuals from the vehicle.

The incident happened on Tuesday at approximately 13:05 on Avenida República de Argentina in La Laguna. Two cars collided. Three people sustained injuries. Two of them had moderate injuries. The Canary Islands Regional Government Emergency Coordination and Security Centre (CECOES) 112 received the alert. It activated the Canary Rescue Service (SUC), the fire service (Bomberos), and the Local Police.

Basic and advanced life support ambulances were dispatched. A doctor and a nurse from the Las Mercedes Health Centre were sent. One man with moderate chest pain was transported to the Canary University Hospital. A woman with similar complaints was evacuated to the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital. A third victim, a woman with minor bruises, was taken to the Las Mercedes Health Centre.

The fire team from the Tenerife Fire Consortium had to free two people from inside one of the vehicles. After rescuing the injured, firefighters secured the scene. They cooperated with other services. The Local Police in La Laguna regulated traffic on Avenida República de Argentina.
